A plot is a long-term decision, so it pays to compare a few options side by side. These are the points we suggest looking at first.
Approvals and title. Ask for the layout approval and ownership documents, and have them checked by a lawyer before you pay any significant amount.
Location and access. Check the width and condition of the approach road, distance from the highway and the nearest everyday facilities – schools, hospitals and markets.
Utilities. Find out whether electricity, water and sewer connections are available or planned, and who is responsible for providing them.
Future development. Look at upcoming roads, metro lines or airports in the area, but base your decision on what is already approved rather than on rumours.
Total cost. Beyond the plot price, ask about development charges, registry costs and any preferential location charges for corner or park-facing plots.
Tell us your budget and preferred city, and we will help you shortlist plots that fit.
